Not smiling in pictures since 1988.

A little bit about me

I love books – both to consume and to colour-code my bookshelf. I flit between thrillers, fantasy, and non-fiction, with a soft spot for the deep, dark, devastating novels that stick with you long after turning the final page. I read tarot too – magnetically drawn to anything mystical, magical or mildly mysterious.

Dropping true crime documentary titles into casual conversation is my niche. And my humour lives somewhere between a well-timed Schitt’s Creek quote and a pun that probably didn’t land (but I’ll bookmark anyway).

I'm a passionate mental health advocate, trained in counselling skills and currently pursuing a certificate in Awareness of Mental Health Problems. This learning shapes my writing on the topic and fuels my commitment to smashing the stigma with empathy and insight.

Musically and aesthetically, I’m emo at heart, drawn to the moody, the meaningful and the slightly dramatic. Add carrot cake baking and twilight walking to the mix, and you've got a few of the things that make me smile...sometimes.
